DAVID A. FIKE

Mr. Fike graduated cum laude from California Western School of Law in 1980 and has practiced law in the Central San Joaquin Valley with an emphasis in business litigation since 1981.  In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Fike has over the years provided counsel to a number of local municipalities and special districts. Outside of his legal practice, Mr. Fike is an active Rotarian, enjoys backpacking in the High Sierra, golf, and spending time with his wife and three children.

MEGGIN BORANIAN

Meggin Boranian graduated from Western State University College of Law, in Fullerton, California. She has practiced law since 1981, managing her own law office in Southern California for nine years, emphasizing business, real estate, and commercial transactions.  Beginning in 1990, Meggin began practicing in the area of business and municipal law, including representing various counties, cities, and Districts in the San Joaquin Valley.  Her primary focus today is as a labor, personnel and employment attorney for public agencies.  She is currently the General Counsel for a number of Districts and advises private employers regarding various personnel and employment-related matters.   

 

Her prior legal practice includes her positions as City Attorney for Firebaugh, Mendota and Woodlake, as well as work for the Cities of Coalinga, Parlier, Reedley, and Lemoore; the San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District (SJVUAPCD), Madera County Counsel, and Fresno County Counsel.  During her time working with these public agencies, she advised numerous administrative boards, department heads and elected officials, while representing their respective public agencies in various legal matters. 

 

In addition to practicing law, she has taught at the college and graduate level.  She has also conducted workplace investigations and training for management in various areas of employment law, including prevention of sexual harassment and bullying in the workplace, bias prevention, ethics and diversity.  

 

When she is not working or traveling the world, Meggin enjoys her family, and volunteers her time as a Rotarian in various community projects and serves as a Board Member for Ararat Armenian Cemetery and the Clovis Rotary Club.

DANIEL W. ROWLEY, OF COUNSEL

Daniel Rowley graduated from San Jose State University in 1977 with a B.A. degree in Environmental Studies with an emphasis in Urban Planning.  In 1983 Mr. Rowley graduated fifth in his class from Southwestern University School of Law where he was Managing Editor of the Southwestern Law Review and a member of the Moot Court Honors Program.  Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Rowley worked as a Judicial Law Clerk for two years for Presiding Justice George A. Brown of the Fifth District Court of Appeal in Fresno.  Mr. Rowley is licensed to practice before all courts in the State of California, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of California, the Northern District of California, the Central District of California.

 

Mr. Rowley has practiced law for over 35 years with an emphasis on employment law and related litigation, including discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, and wage and hour claims.  Approximately 18 years ago Mr. Rowley began performing neutral, objective workplace investigations as part of his employment law practice and it is now the primary focus of his practice.  Mr. Rowley has performed in excess of 300 workplace investigations for a variety of public and private employers.  The investigations have included issues such as sexual harassment, hostile work environment, discrimination, corporate mismanagement, and possible violations of the Fair Political Practices Act.  Mr. Rowley has also served as a mediator for the Fresno County Superior Court, the Better Business Bureau and private mediations.

 

Mr. Rowley has served on the Board of Directors of the Fresno County Bar Association and currently chairs the Nominations Committee.  He is a Sustaining Member of the Association of Workplace Investigators and a member of the Guiding Principles Committee.  Mr. Rowley has also served as a mentor for high school students and other volunteer positions in the community.
